Peel, boil and mash potatoes. Add milk to taste, for an extra creamy mash.

Bake
Transfer meat filling to ovenproof dish and spread mash potato evenly over the top. Sprinkle with cheese, bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
This looked like a great easy family recipe. However it doesn’t say anywhere how much mince it suggests using. It also states you need a Spaghetti Bolognese recipe mix in the ingredient list and in the actual recipe to use the Cottage Pie recipe mix (which makes much more sense, but alas I didn’t see this before preparing). So we ended up with a rather tomatoey strange dinner. But the kids ate it, so whatever.
